Civic Strings Spring 2024 – Mozart, Vivaldi, Shostakovich and Brahms

Rehearsals for this set are on March 18, March 25, April 1, April 8, April 15, April 22, April 29, May 6, May 13, May 19.

Please join us for the 2024 Civic Strings Spring set! Michelle Maruyama will be returning as conductor.

PROGRAM:
Mozart String Quartet in D Major K. 155
Vivaldi Concerto for 4 Violins
Shostakovich Romance (arr. Naughtin)
Brahms Intermezzo in A Major, Op. 118, No. 2 (arr. Naughtin)
Brahms Hungarian Dance No. 6 (arr. Naughtin)

Rehearsals will be on Monday evenings beginning March 18, from 7:00 PM to 9:15 PM at First Baptist Church, 22 Waller St, San Francisco, CA 94102. The doors will open at 6:30 PM, with rehearsals beginning at 7:00 PM.
Note the start time is slightly earlier than the previous sets.

Doors OPEN: 6:30 (South-East Corner of Octavia and Waller, on Octavia)
Doors CLOSE: 7:00
Rehearsal Ends: 9:15

PARKING:
There are two places to park for rehearsals. There is a small parking lot beside the church at 29 Octavia St, San Francisco. Note this is Octavia STREET not Octavia BOULEVARD. Octavia Street is an access street next to the church. If you arrive early enough you can probably park there.
There is also a larger second 'upper' lot at 137 Haight St, San Francisco. It is posted as a private lot, but the gate should be open and we can park there for rehearsals. If you park there, stairs lead from that parking lot to the lower lot by the church.
